Learning Nomination and Individual Development Planning

Global consumer goods enterprise running Workday across all regions. The L&D team needed two custom workflows that core Workday could not deliver alone: a structured nomination flow for leadership programmes, and an Individual Development Planning app linked to the goal cycle.

01Scope

Two Extend apps, one engagement.

Learning Nomination: HR-curated programme catalogue, manager and HRBP nomination flow, eligibility rules, capacity tracking, auto-routing to Workday Learning enrolment on approval.

Individual Development Plan: linked to the goal cycle, configurable per role family, supports career conversations and HRBP visibility without leaving Workday.

02Outcome

Both apps live, no external tooling.

Both apps live in production at the standard the L&D team set. The nomination flow runs every leadership programme cycle, and the IDP app handles the annual conversation alongside goal-setting.
